Webinar: New cooperative model in order to increase the lifeblood of small private institutions: Enrollment and the Rize Initiative

Presenters: Dr. Jeffrey Docking, President and Kevin Harrington, Special Assistant to the President for Innovation at Adrian College

The Rize Initiative is an effort to utilize a new cooperative model in order to increase the lifeblood of small private institutions: enrollment. We accomplish this by dramatically expanding the majors and minors we offer on our campuses without any of the usual upfront costs or risks. Rather than spending many thousands on a new program, colleges simply pay for the incremental classes needed to start that program on a far more affordable per-student per-class basis from other trusted colleges who have already invested in that particular offering.

Utilizing this model, Adrian College will be offering 7 new majors in key enrollment-driving areas next year without having to spend any money upfront. And plan on 25-30 over the next 2 years. Adrian College is confident these high-quality offerings will lead to millions of dollars in additional enrollment revenue. There are now over 40 other institutions across the country participating in the Rize Initiative and taking the same approach.
