Michigan Independent Colleges & Universities (MICU), in partnership with Marsh, is hosting a Safety Symposium on October 25 9am-3:30pm. The Safety Symposium is free to all staff at MICU member institutions. 

The Safety Symposium will include:

• Compliance In A Changing Environment 

• Security and campus safety functions: discussions on de-escalation, community partnership, firearm issues, armed/unarmed officers, crisis response, cameras, and active monitoring before incidents

• Student Travel Risk & Safety

• Reducing Risk in DEI

• Safety within Athletics-Prioritizing Player Health and Safety

• Networking time with your counterparts at other Michigan independent colleges and universities

• Risk trends, updates, and more!

While all are welcome to attend, those within Campus Safety, Counseling Services, Facilities, and Student Services are highly encouraged to participate. Please forward this to colleagues you feel would be interested in attending.
