We are excited to announce another set of free Microsoft Professional Development trainings as part of our ongoing series through our partnership with ScholarBuys and Microsoft. We will be hosting a set of four trainings geared towards faculty/staff that will focus on beginning, intermediary, and advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.
Microsoft Excel Training: Getting Started with Excel – Tuesday, November 29th at 10:00 am
This course introduces Microsoft Excel, the spreadsheet app and demonstrates how to create, view, edit, and share files quickly and easily. Get started by learning to navigate Excel, organize data, and use basic formulas
Objectives:
Navigate Excel ribbon options
Format Excel workbooks and worksheets
Use formulas, functions and validate to work with data
Learn to print processes for Excel workbooks
Microsoft Excel Training: Tables, Formatting, and Collaboration – Thursday, December 1st at 10:00 am
This course expands upon the previous Excel training and dives into the intermediate features of Excel’s navigation, functions, and custom formulas

Create spreadsheets using tables
Analyze your data using conditional formatting and data validation
Collaborate and share your work with others
Use accessibility options in Excel
Microsoft Excel Training: Advanced Functions and Charts – Tuesday, December 6th at 1:00 pm
Take your Microsoft Excel skills to the next level with more advanced features. Learn Advanced functions to better manage and analyze data, create and format charts to present information simply, and learn import and export options within Excel

Microsoft Excel Training: Pivot Tables – Thursday, December 8th at 1:00 pm
Take your Microsoft Excel skills to the next level with more advanced features. Learn about creating and managing pivot tables, as well as additional features including functions, charts, and Power BI
Objectives:
Create pivot tables and power queries
Analyze and manage data
Connect data to Power BI
