As MICU’s Fund Administrator, Rhonda oversees the highly valued and State recognized Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurers’ Fund offered as a cost-saving service to its Members. With annual Fund Membership Payroll of over $400 million, she is responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of the program, as well as the marketing of the program to all MICU Members not yet participating in the Fund.

Born in New York and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Rhonda graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.A. degree in strategic communication, and spent her first two and half years out of college working with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities based in Washington D.C. In September of 1994, Rhonda returned to Michigan and earned a M.A. degree in Communication-Urban Affairs at Michigan State University. She joined the MICU (formerly the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Michigan) team in January of 1996 as her way of giving back to independent colleges and universities in Michigan.

Rhonda serves on the Calvin College Alumni Board Association.  She enjoys spending time with family, writing, traveling, and mentoring youth in the foster care system and in multicultural adoptive homes.
