On behalf of its members, Michigan Independent Colleges and Universities (MICU) is pleased to announce the establishment of a new partnership with Sourcing Alliance and VITG Global in the creation of our own MICU eMarketplace, an online store featuring products and services from a wide range of suppliers all in one place.

13 MICU Institutions Named 'Veteran Friendly'

Student veterans and their dependents can now choose from more than 50 veteran-friendly colleges, universities and community colleges committed to providing on-campus, veteran-centric services to better support their academic and transitional needs. MICU is proud to announce that 13 of those schools are members of the association, demonstrating the commitment of independent education to serving our nation's veterans.

House Budget Invests in College Affordability

Lansing, MI – Today, the Michigan Independent Colleges & Universities (MICU) applauds the House Appropriations Subcommittee for Higher Education for its work on the state budget. This morning, the committee moved its version of the Higher Education Budget which invests over $1.5 billion in funding for our state’s public and independent universities.
