Independent college investments generate economic activity and support Michigan's communities

Private capital investments made by Michigan's independent colleges and universities generated $2 billion in economic activity in Michigan during the past decade.

Workers supported by these projects received $600 million in income during the same time frame.

Groundbreaking new community partnership models and investments are being made on the campuses of Michigan’s independent colleges and universities— some of which are truly extraordinary for the surrounding neighborhoods.

Not only do these investments support Michigan workers during construction but they will also support Michigan's communities for years to come.
